Deputy Editor in Chief Magazines
Indefinite duration contract Job position based in Lyon (Ecully) FranceGENERAL MISSION
- The Deputy Editor-in-Chief Magazine is hierarchically linked to the Editor-in-Chief magazines. With her, he (she) ensures the responsibility of implementing the editorial and strategic line of the channel.
- He (she) ensures the supervision of a multidisciplinary team.
- In her absence, he (she) assumes by delegation, all the responsibilities of the Editor-in-chief Magazines.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Control and editorial follow-up of programmes and the establishment of priorities
- Definition, orientation and management of the follow-up of magazines from the conception to the broadcasting, in contact with the concerned departments.
- Participation in the creation and in the implementation of new programmes and special projects on air and on multimedia and Web platforms.
- Execution and follow-up of sponsorship contracts.
- Participation in the development of the channel in conjunction with the heads of department concerned.
- Representation of Euronews during editorial meetings with the partners of production according to the contractual measures. Travel abroad.
- Consultation with the Sales team and the Creative Solutions department for the creation and development of the sponsored programmes.
STAFF MANAGEMENT
- Follow-up and organization of the work of supervised staff.
- Animation and motivation of the production teams.
- Mediation and resolution of conflicts.
- Analysing recruitment requirements for permanent and temporary staff. Evaluation of the skills and the performance of staff.
- Participation in recruitment process.
- Offering opinion in disciplinary cases and bonus awards.
LEVEL REQUIRED
- Required level of studies: four-year university degree or equivalent journalistic diploma with minimum 5 years minimum in journalism.
- Experience of journalistic activities on the ground and in programme production.
- Experience of management.
- Fluent English and French an imperative, 3rd language appreciated.

Sie haben Erfahrung im Schreiben und Sprechen von internationalen Nachrichten? Euronews sucht ständig neue freie Mitarbeiter mit Deutsch als Muttersprache für die Redaktion in Lyon (Frankreich).
Wir suchen bevorzugt Journalisten mit mehrjähriger Berufserfahrung bei Fernsehen oder Radio mit hervorragender Allgemeinbildung sowie Kenntnissen in den Bereichen internationale Politik, Sport und/oder Wirtschaft.
Neben Deutsch sprechen alle Journalisten Englisch und/oder Französisch - auch Spanisch, Russisch, Arabisch oder eine andere der euronews-Sprachen sind bei der täglichen Arbeit in der internationalen Redaktion sehr nützlich.
Mikrophonsicherheit - am besten mit einer Sprechausbildung - ist für den Einsatz u.a. bei Livesendungen unbedingt erforderlich.
Unter der direkten Leitung des Chefs vom Dienst, der die Montagen vorbereitet und Vorgaben zum Inhalt macht, schreibt und spricht jeder Journalist / Redakteur seine eigenen Texte in seiner Muttersprache für das TV-Programm.

BILINGUAL JOURNALISTS (M/F) UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE – permanent and temporary contracts - Positions based in Lyon (France) – Réf.JB/Ua
Reporting directly to the Duty Editors and Heads of Programme Sections, and under the supervision of the Head of Ukrainian service, you will write and mix your stories, in compliance with the editorial guidelines of the channel. You will cover live events and occasionally translate speeches into Ukrainian live on-air. Your on-screen experience allows you to go live at any moment.
Having studied journalism, you have a strong experience in the audiovisual sector, an excellent general knowledge and in-depth awareness of international politics, sport, economics, European and cultural issues. You are bilingual Ukrainian/English and/or French, while another European language would be an additional asset. You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in journalism.
Able to react quickly, you can also work to tight deadlines, respond appropriately to unexpected developments and deal with the pressure of a television news environment. euronews broadcasts 24 hours a day, so the job entails weekend and night shifts.
